Over the years, Microsoft has made some improvements to Edge, but not enough for me to consider it a serious browser for business or home use. It lacked the support of extensions, so you couldn’t even use a password manager with it. In my opinion, for all practical purposes, the old Edge has been a half-baked, unfinished BETA product that was added to Windows 10 for testing purposes. I have discouraged people from using Edge since day one.
Microsoft introduced Edge in Windows 10 back in 2015. For those who may not be familiar with the two versions, I would like to explain the difference between the original Microsoft Edge and the new Microsoft Edge.
